I've been styling hair for over 17 years. Early on, I knew there was something exciting about creating a signature style. My passion for hairdressing started while performing in theatre and singing in bands. Styling hair for performances and gigs in high school was the beginning of my amazing journey with hair.

Education has been the top priority in my career. I have traveled all over the world to learn from the top hairdressers in my field. By 21 I was a Master Stylist, voted top 10 in the Nation via BeautyFirst, Education Manager for Sexy Hair Concepts and platform artist. At 23, I moved from Los Angeles to San Francisco where I  became an educator for Bumble and Bumble, and traveled to New York to study advanced razor cutting and up-styling. My passion for teaching led me to become Artistic Director for a large salon in downtown San Francisco. I had this amazing opportunity to provided continuing education for the staff and trained all new talent.

Around 25 everything changed, my body stopped letting me absorb anymore of people's “stuff”. I would be in the middle of working on someones hair and feel this surge of panic. My body became an unrecognizable place for me to be. MY OWN BODY!!!!!! This was so scary and confusing to me. When I searched for answers I was given medication and when I searched for support there was none. Then one day everything changed. Clients would show up  and provide the answers I needed.  The journey to find answers has been long, painful and scary. That being said, I know it is my path and my life’s purpose to understand myself in a profound way. I wouldn't be Marci without all of this personal knowledge and experience.

From 23-33 I uncovered a formula that created the clarity to manifest a life full of authentic courage, clarity to express my needs, and the confidence to show up fully. This became my coaching program and website authenticallyBE. I now work with the highly sensitive community, providing support and inspiration.  I now know how important it is to share my story and support those ready to discover their Personal Power and live in the full expression of their spirit.

I continue to work as a hairstylist in Portland and San Francisco, taking care of my loyal clients. I enjoy my hair community and all it has provided for me in my life. Becoming a life&Biz strategist has combined all of my strengths as a stylist, healer and coach.

My education as a stylist includes:

  • Vidal Sassoon in London and Santa Monica
  • Bumble&Bumble, New York
  • Toni & Guy, Los Angeles
  • Redken Exchange, NYC
  • Paul Mitchell, Costa Mesa
  • Kevin Murphy (Educator training, 2yrs)
  • Sachajuan, NYC
  • Wella and Davines color systems
  • Sally Rogerson, 3 day comprehensive

I have also had the honor of working on runway shows for LA, SF and PDX fashion week.

Here is a little about my work beyond hairdressing.

  • 2006 I was attuned to be a Reiki Practitioner. This modality of healing really supported me in shifting from carrying burdens to releasing and freeing myself from pain. I now happily show up for those ready to let their healing take place.
  • 2007 I studied at the Foundation For Spiritual Development. This is where I learned a practical way to create healthy energetic boundaries that take the guess-work out of dealing with my sensitivity. I am super passionate about tools and I teach some of them in my program.
  • 2011 I become a certified life coach through the Baraka Institute. This is where I uncovered my strong intuitive connection. This course helped me understand the innate wisdom I already had access to. The super useful and supportive coaching tools gave me the inspiration for the discoverME program.
  • 2014-2015 I studied with Gabrielle Bernstein. Gabby really supported me in coming out of the healing closet. Her work has inspired me to step up as a teacher. I am grateful for the community and support I now have after becoming Spirit Junkie Level 1-2 trained.
  • 2014-2015 I became a facilitator for The Desire Map Workshop. This is a great compliment to the dicoverME program.
